Program: Clinical Medical Assisting

Clinical Medical Assistants work in clinics, doctor’s offices, and hospitals, performing routine clinical tasks. Clinical duties may include taking medical histories, recording vital signs, explaining procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting physicians during the exams. Medical assistants collect and prepare lab specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, take electrocardiograms, sterilize medical instruments, remove sutures, change dressings, and many other clinical and patient-related duties as directed by a physician. In this program, you will learn basic medical office administrative skills, comprehensive medical office clinical skills, medical terminology, and basic medical procedures to prepare you for employment as a Clinical Medical Assistant.
