Course Description
This course provides a fundamental understanding of vital signs and how to accurately take them.
Certificate Completion of this course certifies proficiency in taking vital signs based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

Course Structure This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length The estimated length of this course is 20 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.
Specific Course Admission Requirements There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Health Care Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

Salt Lake Campus: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Thursday
Horizonte Instruction & Training Center: Monday - Friday, school hours
Tooele County: Monday - Friday, schedule varies
Tuition and Fees Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
