Program: Networking Technician (Net+)

The Networking Technician program ensures that you will be trained in networking fundamentals employers need. As a Net+ Certified technician, you will be able to make recommendations for installing or expanding a network, document and perform preventative maintenance on a network, and troubleshoot network problems. Having an A+ Certification as well would make you fully capable of being an on-site technical support person, a network administrator of a local area network, and a valuable asset to a networking team.

Math and English levels:
Adult students will be assessed using the Test of Adult Basic English (TABE) Locator and Survey or through high school or college transcripts. High School students will be assessed by their counselor.

Occupation & Licensure Requirements:
Receiving an industry certification, such as from CompTIA, is highly recommended and often required by employers.

Articulation & Transfering Credit:
Certain courses in this program may be accepted for credit at the Salt Lake Community College for those looking to pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technologies.
