Course: Keyboarding Basics

Course Description
Keyboarding Basics is introduction to the computer keyboard and keyboarding techniques. Using drills and timed writings, this course helps students increase speed and accuracy on a computer keyboard.

Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient keyboarding skills based on a keyboarding competency exam. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Business Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

Tooele Campus: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon. & Thur., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tues. & Wed.
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday

Tuition and Fees
Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
