- During FY 2006, new EAC members have been added in Information Technology, Media Design, Clinical Laboratory Assistant, Automotive Technology, and Diesel Technology as a result of recommendations from Employer Advisory Committees.

- New members from Garff Automotive have been added to the Automotive Technology EAC in FY 2007 as a result of outreach efforts by the V.P. of Public Relations and the Program Manager for Transportation Technology programs.
- New employer advisory committees were formed for the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Programs in FY 2006.

- A new procedural manual for EAC members was developed in FY 2006 to provide clearer guidelines for evaluating programs that are consistent with the EAC requirements found in Council on Occupational Education standards. The manual is currently in use.

- EACs meet three times each year to evaluate programs and receive information on how their recommendations have been incorporated into programs. This process is ongoing.
- The SLTATC instructional planning process incorporates EAC feedback as budgets and goals are developed for the next fiscal year and this information is provided to EAC members at their meetings. This process is ongoing.

- Effective FY 2006, program faculty members are required to make contact with EAC members each month and to keep a log of the type of contact made and the outcome. This is an ongoing process.
