Course Description
The VESL courses will help students understand the important words related to an area of training, improve their understanding of English grammar and usage, and raise their comfort level when reading, speaking and writing English. Students will learn strategies for expanding their vocabulary and polish their ability to follow directions from instructors, texts, and online courses. They will work with other students with similar goals using both online and classroom instruction. VESL courses are available for the following training areas:
- Healthcare Technologies
- Business Technologies
- Transportation Technologies
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Welding
Course Structure
This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format through the Learning Center.
Course Length
The estimated length of this course is 60 - 65 hours.
Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.

Horizonte Instruction and Training Center: Monday - Friday, normal school hours

One-time Registration Fee: $5
Tuition: $20/month for adults, unlimited use
FREE for public high school students, unlimited use
