Course Description
Special Applications courses provide competencies which meet an immediate occupational need beyond the skills available in the programs' currently approved outline.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient specialized automotive industry technical skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

Course Structure
This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length
The length of this course varies, but may not exceed 180 hours.
Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and the subject material determined by you and your instructor.
Specific Course Admission Requirements
This course is meant ot be taken after all other program coursework is completed. Also, courses in the Transportation Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks. Please see the SLTATC Monthly Tuition and Fee Schedule or contact Student Services for current tuition and fee information.
This course does not have an individual course fee, but please see the information sheet for your desired program for estimated total program tuition and fee costs.
