The West Valley Training Center (WVTC) of the SLTATC houses the College's Transportation Technologies programs. In October of 2006, the WVTC moved into a new building at 2221 South 5370 West, West Valley City, in the middle of the Warner Truck Center, the largest Freightliner Dealer west of the Mississippi. The College has refurbished and modernized this venerable structure and created a facility dedicated to delivering open-entry, competency-based training for high school students and adults. Being in such close proximity to a major transportation center also enables students at the WVTC to have direct interaction with the latest technologies and practices used in today's dynamic transportation industries.
