Course Description
This class teaches introduction and basic uses of our automotive shops. Instruction is given in shop safety and HazMat handling and disposal.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient automotive shop safety skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

Specific Course Admission Requirements
There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Transportation Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday
Tuition and Fees
Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
