Course Description
The Business Correspondence course reinforces essential English skills while developing and applying effective written business communication skills. This course will focus on the ability to produce clear and concise business documents in a format designed for mailing. Students will utilize correct sentence structure, paragraph structure, word usage, grammar, and punctuation while composing business correspondence.
Certificate Completion of this course certifies proficient written business communication skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.
This course fulfills requirements for the Accounting Clerk, Business Administrative Support I & II, Computer Applications, Customer Service and Medical Office Administration Programs.

Course Structure This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length The estimated length of this course is 90 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.
Specific Course Admission Requirements Students should have completed Business English or equivalent competencies to take this course. Also, courses in the Business Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

Tuition and Fees Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
