Financial Assistance

Financial Aid
Tuition at the Salt Lake • Tooele Applied Technology College is among the lowest in the state at only $1.30 per hour for full-time adult students. High School students attend the SLTATC tuition-free. However, if you do not have the means to make tuition and fee payments, the College has both state and private funds available for need-based scholarships, and the SLTATC counselors can also refer you to other state and private organizations which may be able to assist with the cost of your training.

Need-Based Scholarships
If you believe you would qualify for a need-based scholarship, talk with a SLTATC counselor. The counselor will help you determine your eligibility and assist you with completing a need-based scholarship form. You may also download the need-based scholarship form and fill it out on your own.

Referring Agencies and Organizations
The SLTATC works closely with several government agencies and private organizations to help individuals obtain the training they need to qualify for employment. Some of those organizations include the following:

Department of Workforce Services (DWS)

Vocational Rehabilitation

LDS Employment

Youth Employ-Ability Services (YES) Program

You may wish to work with one or more of these organizations directly as you arrange financing for your training program at the SLTATC. Contact Student Services for more information.

Veterans
Most of the training programs offered by the SLTATC are approved for veterans. The student advisor or student services assistants can assist in answering questions about programs and offerings; the VP of Student Services is the certifying agent. Interested students should contact the Veterans Administration Office at www.gibill.va.gov or 1-888-GIBILL-1 OR 1-888-442-4551 to determine their eligibility.
