Course Description
This course will introduce a student to a variety of elements involving web site animation. This application allows a web designer to create a variety of graphic objects that add visual stimulation to a web site. Web page content, navigation buttons and dynamic text effects are a few of the techniques that will enhance the finished web site.
Certificate Completion of this course certifies proficient web animation design and creation skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

- Develop a movie design for Web Design Animation
- Demonstrate the use of common design principles including: alignment, proximity, contrast and consistency
- Import graphics into an animation movie for both vector and rasterized images
- Create special effects for web-based animation
- Add sound and digital video to an animated web site
- Creating web site interactivity and button functionality
- Create editable text and forms for use in an animated web site
- Incorporate a variety of tools to communicate with a web site
- Publish and test an animated web site
Course Structure This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length The estimated length of this course is 90 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.
Specific Course Admission Requirements There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Media Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.

Course Location and Schedule
Salt Lake Campus: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday -Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday
