Course Description
This class introduces concepts, technical information and artistic requirements for completing a successful illustration utilizing the computer as the medium. It includes creative techniques for drawing, designing, filling, blending, and texturing.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient basic computer illustration skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Technical Competency is available upon request.

- Demonstrate a knowledge of the software necessary to produce artwork for reproduction
- Gain experience in using computers and printers
- Understand the differences between vector and raster images
- Produce successful images for given usage
- Save image in proper file format
- Create original artwork on computer

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

Salt Lake Campus: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday -Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday
