Course Description
These courses will focus on the basic computer skills necessary for further training with the SLTATC. Additionally, as Applied Technology courses contain terms and phrases that even native English speakers find challenging, students will be introduced to the terminology, vocabulary, and basic skills necessary for successful completion of one of the following training areas:
- Healthcare Technologies
- Business Technologies
- Transportation Technologies
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Course Structure
This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format through the Learning Center.
Course Length
The estimated length of this course is 65 hours.
Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.
Specific Course Admission Requirements
This course is designed for High School and Advanced ESL students (levels IV – V)
Course Location and Schedule
Salt Lake Campus: Monday -Thursday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Horizonte Instruction and Training Center: Monday - Friday, normal school hours
PFFH: Tuesday - Thursday 5:30-6:30 p.m., Business Only
Tuition and Fees
One-time Registration Fee: $5
Tuition: $20/month for adults, unlimited use
FREE for public high school students, unlimited use
