An Overview of the Complete IPDP Process

  • Reviews “Tips to Help You Prepare Your IPDP”
  • Prepares draft of professional development plan
  • Brings copy to annual performance evaluation meeting for discussion with supservisor
Department Supervisor
  • Reviews “Tips to Help You Prepare Your IPDP – From the manager’s perspective”
  • As needed, reviews plans with the individual during the annual performance review
  • Allocates division/department resources (money, time, schedule adjustments, etc.)
  • Completes mid-year and end-of-year reviews of progress with individuals
  • Sends completed forms to the Business Office for inclusion in the employee’s personnel file
V.P. of Finance and Operations
  • Provides a summary of professional development activities to the Board of Directors as part of overall year-end report
  • Evaluates the process to determine improvements
  • Reviews plans to determine common goals and assess future training needs
